Better notes are not always longer notes. A useful note has a clear title, a specific purpose and enough structure to make sense later. Start with the outcome: what should this note help you remember or do?

Use short sections

Break long notes into headings, bullets and action items. Add tags only when they help search. Avoid creating too many categories because an over-organized system can become difficult to maintain.

End with a summary

At the bottom of important notes, write two or three lines explaining the main point in your own words. This makes review faster and reveals whether the note is actually clear.
